Paint Table Saturday - Game pieces week

Probably most of you are in London enjoying Salute 2016 now. Green with envy I take the time to present an overview of the figures I was busy with last week:

As you see gaming pieces made my days. Just today we'll have our next Imperial Assault session and the Emperor - also known as yours truly - was in need of some reinforcements. Thus I quickly painted the two E-web gunners, an AT-ST as well as four Thrandoshan bounty hunters. Actually - for gaming pieces - the figures are very good. The are fairly detailed and the material seems pretty resistant. But nevertheless they don't have the quality of the historical figures we have access to from companies like Perry, Front Rank, Wargames Foundry or others. Thus I decided to give them a pretty basic paintjob but more on this later when I present more detailed.

In the background you might spot a quartet of zombies. Those are gaming pieces from the recent board game we bough: Zombicide - Season 1. It brought us a very entertaining sesson last weekend but I wanted to have more colour on the board. Those figures are as good as the other figures I mentioned above but scalewise they are more slender. The detail level is good enough for nice figures but small enough to allow a speedy painting technique. More or less eight of the undead are done and I'll show them in a couple of days.

Until then...
Enjoy the weekend and most of all Salute 2016 !

  1. I see you too have been bitten by Zombicide and I really must get my hands on Imperial Assault! Just back from Salute and both tired and happy, need time to reflect on the day before I post anything.

    1. If you find an appropriate group I can recommend Imperial Assault without any doubt. But for the imperial player it's a lot of organisation work between the games to keep the campaign running.

I'm looking forward to reading your report of Salute then.
