Painting Table Saturday - Too many projects running ?

Unbelievable but true: This week I'm in time with Painting Table Saturday.

Although it'll be a rather busy weekend with some friends visiting us and a barbecue at my parents I hope to be able to spent some time at the workbench.
Besides more KGL greenjackets, the Napoleon vignette and more WWI Tommies there are the thing above on my workbench. You recognise the Dark Ages bulding easily I presume. It's the pitnhouse by Stronghold Terrain which I bought on Tactica this February. In addition there are some riders for our retreat 1812 project "White Death" and some Perry miniatures to deflash. While some of them shall reinforce my Normans for Saga the others will start another side-project...

Anyway I hope you'll have a great workbench at or away from your painting tables.

Enjoy your weekend !

  1. To Many Projects? No way - You'll need to add a few more in different scales to come close to too many projects..

Enjoy the weekend and the BBQ

    1. Until now I've avoided other scales more or less. But a friend of mine is a great fan of Pendraken figurines. I could get to them sooner or later for some 1870 / 71 stuff...

  2. Stefan, you can never have 'Too Many Projects', only 'Too Little Time!'

  4. I'm all over the place at the moment too; just bought some of Perry's excellent foot knights randomly to add to the dozen or so other things going on; none of which have a hope of completion...ho hum :D

  6. I think many of us work on multiple projects. I usually have four to five figures going at once as when I get down to tiny details I need something in earlier stages to give my eyes a rest.

    Enjoy your barbecue!

    1. Thanks Anne, the BBQ was really enjoyable. Above all because we finished just before heavy rain hit Düsseldorf... ;-)

  7. Been there... This month I had to finish my World War II French and Germans as well as some Napoleonic French Dragoons for two shows. Along side of that I am building for Of Gods and Mortals Celts and have begun to build two Dux Brit Armies. I really should work on my Ronin army and have been working on various scenary and buildings for most of these games. Good to knwo I am not alone!

    1. Definitely you're not alone, Ron.
I presume getting lost in lots of projects is a key element within each and every wargamer or miniature painter.

    1. Currently I'm deflashing a lot of horses to get them airbrushed on the balcony this week since we have a good weather forcast. But besides that the DA building is top of the list...

  10. Interesting projects, Stefan. I like that fur for the thatched roof on the hut. Best, Dean

  11. Too many projects? There isn't such a thing like too many projects... wait a minute... been there lately myself... so ok, maybe there's something like too many projects. At least when one takes too close a look into the crammed sideboards of the man cave packed full with shiny metal goodness.
May I assume the newest SAGA release tempted you to dig your toes into the crusades?

  12. Me neither can work on the same project for days. I need some diversity on the workbench! Great project you have running!

    Greetings
    Peter
